India’s First Skoda Octavia RS Accident

News has just come in from Trivandrum (Kerala) about a fatal Octavia RS crash that took place last night. The driver, a young 21 year old son of a businessman, lost his life on the spot. Three other passengers are said to be very critical. The accident happened on on the Rajbhavan road.

As per initial investigation, young Adarsh SP lost control of the RS after he tried to avoid an auto rickshaw that was taking a u-turn. That said, the car definitely was at speeds of over 100 km/h which is evident from these pictures. The Octavia RS hit a pole, uprooting it completely before coming to a stop after hitting a tree.

The car was running on temporary registration as it was bought from Cochin but was being used in TVM.
As per reports, firemen had to be called to extract the occupants from the mangled remains. Our condolences with Adarsh’s family and we hope the other three making a quick recovery.

The Skoda Octavia RS was launched in India a few months back and comes with a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine that puts out 227 bhp of power. It can accelerate from standstill to 100 in just 7 seconds.  All pictures via various Whatsapp groups.

Huge power comes with huge responsibility, i think there is fault of the owner to let his son drive the powerful car.
