Land Rover has announced the Indian pricing for the much awaited Range Rover Velar. Deliveries will start from the end of January 2018. The new Velar will be sold with three engine options of a 2.0 petrol, 2.0 diesel and a 3.0 diesel. There are 8 variants each of the 2.0 diesel and petrol and 9 variants of the 3.0 diesel. The top end trim here is the 3.0 Diesel First Edition that will retail at Rs 1.37 crore.
The Range Rover Velar sits between the Evoque and the Sport and will be sold through 26 authorized outlets across India. For the uninitiated, the Velar shares its underpinnings with the Jaguar F-Pace SUV and locks horns with rivals like the X6 and the Macan. In terms of road presence, it has a length of 4.8 meters, is 1.9 meters wide and 1.66 meters tall.
Features on the higher trim levels include Touch Pro Duo entertainment system, terrain response, twin 10-inch HD screens – one is for the infotainment while second is for the climate control.
Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd. (JLRIL), said: “The New Range Rover Velar is a symbol of sophisticated design, well-crafted interior, innovative features and technologies, backed by powerful and efficient powertrains. We are extremely delighted to bring the highly awaited and one of the most desirable SUVs with many of our customers are looking forward to own and drive.”
