Ahead of its media ride event at the Sri Perumbudur racing circuit outside Chennai, pictures of the production ready TVS Apache RR 310 have emerged online, thanks to a TVS employee. The images however have the watermark of a Facebook Page of “Biker Memes Tamil”. The bike was earlier speculated to carry the name Akula RR 310.
To be launched on 6th December, the FB page in question also carries a lot of ‘confidential’ information on the bike. And if these facts are true, the TVS Apache RR 310 could well become the weapon of choice of the younger generation. In fact, TVS thinks / feels that the bike is better than the KTM RC 390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300 – we say so because if you look closely at the picture below, you can spot a Ninja 300 and the RC 390. Will TVS compare the Apache RR 310 openly with these two bikes in front of the auto media?
Moving, here is what the person who leaked the images has to say about the bike. Lets have a look :
- Trellis Frame
- Liquid cooled with OWHE (oil water heat exchange)
- 0-60 km/h in 2.93 seconds
- Top speed of 165 (could be 170+ on speedo)
- Kayaba shocks
- Speedometer with lap timer, top speed recorder, fuel economy, temp etc
- Hazard lamps
- Very accurate fuel indicator
- Dual LED projector lamps
- Max power of 34.2 (could be bhp or PS)
- Michelin tyres
- Dual channel ABS with anki-back lift
All these facts will be confirmed in just two days time. TVS has been testing the Akula / Apache RR 310 for almost two years now. This bike will lock horns with the KTM RC 390 and should be priced very aggressively.
